Barbecue Contest Information

Major league griller teams from all over bring secret recipes, unique grill setups and family traditions that are guaranteed to produce a special flavor and taste — especially for the lovers of fine barbecue.

Each griller team, whether a veteran of or rookie to the circuit, presents a personal technique and a desire to compete in the Memphis in May National Barbecue event.

Those recipes served up at family cookouts over the years may have prepared you for that trip!

While only a few teams will make it to the nationals in Memphis, the competition and the festivities are an enjoyable gathering for all.

 

The team members focus on producing a masterpiece while curious spectators can absorb the smells and sounds, intent on uncovering a new grilling secret. Don't count on it though — most pro's do not grill and tell!
